Soon after launching the Netflix Edition of the original Oxenfree game, developer Night School Studios revealed that the sequel will no longer launch this year, as previously announced. Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals is now expected to arrive sometime in 2023, the studio confirmed over the weekend.
According to developers, they need additional time to add more localizations to the game. It might be just a coincidence, but the Netflix Edition of Oxenfree adds exactly that, more localizations, and it’s exclusive available on Netflix.
“Seeing your fan art, reading your excited comment, and connecting with you fuels our ambition to make this our best game yet. To make Oxenfree II truly special and add more localizations, we’re moving our release window to 2023.”
