Microsoft has released an optional cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1809, also serving as a preview of the next major update cycle due on the May 2022 Patch Tuesday.
Windows 10 cumulative update KB5012636 therefore needs to be downloaded manually from Windows Update, unlikely Patch Tuesday updates that are actually pushed to most devices with automatic updates enabled.
As for what’s new in this update, Microsoft has obviously focused on bug fixes and performance improvements, with the company explaining it has also included a series of improvements for servicing the Secure Boot component on Windows.
