What It Takes To Be An Esports Pro


With esports exploding in popularity and tournaments offering eye-wateringly large prize pools, becoming a pro gamer is a demanding career. We spoke to two members of Team Liquid’s Valorant team to see what it takes to be a professional esports player. Sponsored by Alienware. Team Liquid’s Valorant coach Connor “Sliggy” Blomfield and player Dom “soulcas” Sulcas discuss the life of a pro gamer, their training schedule, the number of hours they play and how they play together as a team. Both players talk about the hardware required to play esports at a professional level, such as processors, graphics cards, refresh rate, and their preferences for keyboard, mouse and headsets.
